    The Authority is the independent watchdog for local policing, responsible for ensuring that Bedfordshire Police is providing an efficient and effective police service for Bedfordshire and Luton.
    The Police Authority consists of 17 members who:

    • Set policing priorities and targets
    • Scrutinise police performance
    • Monitor the police budget
    • Ensure value for money
    • Consult with you to influence policing delivery
